Biography

On behalf of the Canadian’s Women’s Heart Health Centre and Heart & Stroke, thank you for your commitment to women’s heart health. In some matters of the heart, women do not fare as well as men. Within one year of a heart attack, 7 per cent more women will die than men. It’s the number one killer of women worldwide, accounting for more deaths every year than all cancers combined. Together we can – and will – transform and save women’s lives. I invite each of you to take full advantage of this conference to share your knowledge and understanding of women and heart disease. It is up to each of us to identify our unique goals and take action. By working together we will leverage skills, innovations, and ideas to collaboratively chart a course for women’s heart health in Canada.
