It’s the number one killer of women over 35 worldwide, accounting for more deaths every year than all cancers combined. Come out to better understand how to prevent women’s heart disease and ways to develop a heart healthy lifestyle. For Champlain residents without heart disease, looking to reduce your risk for cardiovascular disease. Receive tailored plans and counseling from your own personal health coach. Find out how you can participate

 

 

Women@Heart Program  —  A free peer support program led by women with heart disease, for women with heart disease that aims to create a caring environment for women to learn from each other. Receive emotional and educational support for a better recovery after a heart event. This program is offered in community locations across Ottawa. Learn more.

 

 

New! Virtual Care Program — This program is open to women and men. Whether you’re on the go, traveling or just plain busy-Manage your health anytime and anywhere! The Virtual Care Program is a free online cardiovascular health management system that will help participants take control and manage their risk factors. Receive tailored advice from a Heart Institute Health Coach (you must qualify for this service). Learn more
